A Note From
Oh the satisfaction of a well cooked meal. I can almost smell the sizzling steak and spices while watching a fine chef on TV.
I'll catch myself glancing at the refrigerator wondering if I can quickly duplicate what is being prepared before my eyes. It's frozen.:(
In my kitchen stands a recipe book. It was an extremely useful gift that we received while we were missionaries in Romania.
This book had great value to Teresa as it enabled her to identify the vast array of foods and spices in another language. So, what's the word for dill?
It brought us great delight as she was able to go out, find all the needed ingredients and duplicate one of the fine dishes indigenous to the country.
They were just words in a book but it brought the culinary richness of life to our kitchen table.
It brought Joy to our home, satisfaction to our hearts, nourishment to our children and growth to my waistline.
I'm so glad that God gave us taste buds, and also, the tasty richness of HIS book of Life!
"Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, oh Lord, God of hosts."
