A Note From

Are you normal?

Guess what, if you find yourself spiritually dry or maybe even a little spiritually stuck............... you're just simply normal.

Do not despair!

It’s very easy to be distracted in this life. God can feel distant, unresponsive and even irrelevant. Relax.

We all go through seasons of dryness, even darkness. We are easily consumed by things that aren’t spiritually productive, even counterproductive.

Perhaps fear has plagued you. You have recurring thoughts about the future, imagining all sorts of horrible events. Worship feels dull and the things of God unimpressive.

A repentant heart seems nowhere to be found and God’s word seems boring. Perhaps you are even  a little critical or cynical. You’ve been riddled with negative feelings that bring upon a lot of guilt. Feelings that say, “You don’t measure up........ and you never will!”

You’re normal!

It seems like the solution should be really easy, yet you aren’t able to grasp the definitive direction.

In those times, one of the most important things you can do is be honest with your heart.

Psalms 40:1-2 says, “I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog.”

Honesty is very difficult, because sometimes it’s buried deep within our hearts.

Be honest with others as well. I love transparency. God knows everything about us, yet his care for us will never waiver. He knows our sins, our stubbornness, our desperation, our hopes and fears. He sees your loneliness and your feelings of rejection.

Do yourself a favor, receive God‘s GREAT love for YOU today.

Zephaniah 3:17 says, “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”

Are you overwhelmed? Cry out!

Psalms 61:2

"From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I."
