A Note From
Wading and Waiting
Waiting on God (and not sinking into despair) is not for the faint of heart.
As we are waiting, the waves of this life consistently keep pounding in. Those waves represent different things to different people. For someone it might be a wave of despair. Another, the wave of grief for someone special in their life who is going through a trial. For another, a wave that crashes in bringing yet another financial setback.
Waves, yes, they can keep pounding in.
But more often than not, those waves are more like small, gentle swells that just consistently keep rolling into our lives. You may say, “It seems to never end.” Maybe it feels like you are “wading” in a sea of circumstances that completely surround you.
This is life. One swell. One circumstance. One challenge that needs our attention. But as you’re wading in the waters of this life, God is in the waiting. He is there. He is with you. He is present.
"...but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." (Isaiah 40:30)
