A Note From
Sometimes Psalms 43:5 isn't a bad question.....
"Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me?"
Thankfully, the verse goes on to give us the remedy.... The recipe "when our head needs the comfort of our own hands" ...You know, that mid-day neck massage.
"Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God."
The soul is the deepest part of us. Since God is the one who made us, only He can restore us, because only He knows what we truly need to restore our souls.
To restore means "to repair or renovate"
Psalm 23:3 says "HE restores my soul."
It is HE, our shepherd, that leads us to those green pastures, quiet waters and paths of righteousness.
As Christians, we are the sheep of God's pasture (Psalm 100:3), and only HE can restore our souls.
