A Note From
The walls of Jericho must have seemed impenetrable.
So thick that homes were literally built within its walls. Chariots could even ride on top of the wall.
Brick by brick those walls went up; and by the mighty power of God, those walls would come down. It was a promise.
God said to Joshua, "Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
Satan is in the (full time) "construction business." He's always mixing a fresh batch of mortar to add another brick.
His attempts are to build walls so thick and so high in your life that you feel trapped; Without hope.
Don't settle for those walls.
Walls of discouragement.
Walls of hopelessness.
Walls that will keep you from Your destiny.
In the natural, it is impossible to see what's behind a wall. It doesn't cloud your vision; it STOPS your vision. If I were the devil, I would just want you to stare at the wall.
What a waste of time. What a waste of energy. How unproductive and depressing it would be to just stare at a wall.
That's what a prisoner does. Just stares at a wall wondering, "how did I get here?"
Let me quote that verse again that God spoke to Joshua.
Joshua 1:9 "Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
TAKE THE LAND AND TEAR DOWN THOSE WALLS.
