A Note From
Many years ago, I wrote a song called “little things.”
The premise of the song was that it’s the little things in our life that can begin to accumulate, that will eventually have an adverse effect in our lives.
In other words, it’s not just the big things that tend to drag us down and wreak havoc in our lives, it’s the little things.
Have you ever had a computer that slows down little by little? Little viruses, malware and “cookies“ begin to collect and before you know it, it’s at a standstill.
It really isn't one big thing that just gobbles up our time, (money, passions, energy... etc) it’s those small little "foxes" that nibble away at the bloom in your vineyard that just might be ready to bud.
What is ready to bud in your life? What is nibbling away at it?
1 Peter 5:8 says:
"Be alert and of sober mind..."
It’s important to organize our lives in such a way that small annoying things, small things that accumulate, don’t continue to rob us.
My challenge to you is to identify those things and deal with them. Sometimes it takes a little “to do list”.
God has so many great things for us to do and it is up to us to stay vigilant and aware of anything that attaches itself to our lives that will drain us of our resources and our productivity.
Song of Solomon 2:15:
"Catch the foxes for us, the little foxes that spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom."
