A Note From
Leaf blower's are sure a handy tool. Once you get the hang of it, you can easily guide a vast amount of leaves into a single pile.
I once heard of a little boy that asked his father if he could blow all the leaves that were scattered about the sidewalk in front of the house.
The father knew that his son lacked the experience that it would take to guide the leaves to a single location.
Surely they would all end up on his nicely manicured lawn. The father instead welcomed his boys willing heart to help.
Sure enough, they went everywhere. But the father looked on with joy in his heart. There was his son, hard at work, doing his best to please his father..... and making a mess. 🙂
I often think that's how it is with us. We work so hard and try our best, yet all the "leaves of life" are blown in every direction. Hard at work, but often making a mess.
Yet God looks on... and loves us. He looks on with the joy of a proud father as we work hard to be productive, to make a difference. Good intentions that often end up in the grass.
Yep, there's my son. Learning, growing, serving. Oh yeah, And he'll get better at it too.
Jesus said, "let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
