A Note From
An intricately painted plate that absolutely deserved to be on display. No mashed potatoes and gravy would ever be piled up on this thing. Nope, it was destined to be put on a stand and admired.
It fell...I hate when that happens!
Thank goodness for Elmer's glue!
And yes, the patience and time I also displayed in putting it back together.
Piece by piece, letting certain sections dry so I could continue the process unto completion.
This plate had memories, this plate was special.
You know what? I actually like it more now. It's even more unique then it was to begin with. It has scars, but the scars are beautiful.
It has a few missing pieces, but that's ok. I don't see the missing pieces. I see the plate. It has a story now.
A better story.
I'm actually part of the story.
Stories matter, people matter, brokenness matters, and scars matter.
Not to be despised, but treasured. You are a treasure!
"My sacrifice, oh God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise."
