A Note From
Do you feel dry?
Perhaps a little thirsty in your soul?
Maybe like that semi-wilted flower that needs an infusion of life-giving water to be revitalized?
During the worship experience at our Sunday morning service, I had this picture of a pump in the desert.
Think about it...
On the surface, it’s hot and seemingly lifeless. But deep beneath the surface, there can be vast flowing streams of refreshing water.
Now, when a pump has not been used in a while, they can lose their ability to draw water and the pump needs to be primed.
The pump casings become filled with vapors or gases. It becomes gas-bound and incapable of pumping.
Perhaps you need to be primed?
Prime your soul with thanksgiving, prime your soul with the unlimited resources of God‘s love, grace and mercy!
Prime your heart, soul and mind with the water of the word.
Don’t exhaust yourself by fruitlessly pumping on your own strength, relying on air vapors to bring forth needed water.
Prime it with the truth of God’s word that trumps our emotions and feelings.
Then, watch the fruitful green pastures of your soul flourish!
"I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."
