A Note From
Pastor Roger

Though it’s a very simple play ground attraction, a teeter-totter was always one of my favorites.

That is until my play school friend was, well, a lot larger than me.

I would often find myself perched at the top with nowhere to go, and invariably, my friend would be laughing comfortably at the bottom.

You see, there was no balance.

I recently used this illustration when talking with someone very dear.
Having balance is huge in the life of every person.

A persons theology can outweigh their love.
An offense can outweigh years of a once healthy relationship.
A judge-mental heart can outweigh grace.
Self-hate can outweigh beauty.
A believed lie, can outweigh truth.

We must always strive for balance in our life. When there is balance, it produces great peace and joy. Think about it, that’s what a teeter totter’s for.

It’s for fun!

Sometimes you’re at the top sometimes you’re at the bottom BUT it’s for fun.

Oh yeah, one more thing. Have you ever tried to use a teeter-totter on your own? It’s nearly impossible. You need another person.

BALANCE- strive for it in all areas of your life.

2 Peter 3:17-
"You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability."

Proverbs 11:1 -
"A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight."
