A Note From
Pastor Roger

When I was a kid, I enjoyed magic tricks. Though I was never disciplined enough to learn the secret to the "slight of hand", it was always fascinating to me.

An illusion is a deceptive appearance or impression. A delusion, misconception. They are false ideas or beliefs.

Another thing that I enjoyed doing as a kid, was going to the state fair and seeing all the twisted and distorted reflections of myself in the house of mirrors. They were just illusions and thank goodness, not the true reflection of who I really was.

May we live our lives with truth and integrity. That what people see and experience is who you really are, and that you also reflect who God says you are.

I hope your life is not an illusion, I hope your life is honest, approachable, and touchable.

James 1:22-25
"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do."
