A Note From
1960 - 20??
Gosh, that was really weird to even type that.
Not only did I reveal my birth year so you can calculate how old I am, it was a reminder that one day, those question marks (20??) will be filled in!
It will be engraved on some stone, the years that I lived here on earth.
This thought is certainly fresh on my mind as I attended the funeral of a dear friend last Friday.
You’ve most likely heard the phrase, “live for the dash”.
The dash represents all the time spent alive on earth.
We are only on this earth a little while. It means to spend each day with passion and purpose.
To live a life of joy, compassion, and kindness reflecting the love of God.
It doesn’t matter how much we own, but how we live and love and how we "spend our dash."
Are there things you’d
like to change?
Maybe to be less quick to anger?
To show appreciation?
Love the people in your life like you’ve never loved before?
Perhaps fulfill the call of God in your life?
When your eulogy is being read, would you be proud of the things they say about how you lived your dash?
Don’t give up and remain steadfast. Live for the Dash!
