A Note From
A kite was meant to fly.
I remember as a kid getting a new kite still in its packaging.
It was usually rolled pretty tightly and wrapped in plastic.
I couldn’t wait to pull it out of the plastic sock, unroll it, assemble the sticks and attach the string.
It just needed to be filled.
In order for it to fly, it just needed to be filled with a gust of wind.
A current of air powerful enough to elevate it to new and amazing heights...heights that it had never been.
I always wished that I could have had the view that kite had as it peered down on earth.
Wow, what a perspective it must have had!
It was always fascinating to me how such a seemingly fragile kite could produce such a powerful pull.
I would often struggle to hold on tightly as it pulled me in different directions.
Oh how often we feel fragile.
Many times, even a little dismantled and unusable. But when we cry out and allow our creator to put us back together.
He fills us with the powerful wind of the Holy Spirit that will draw us into new heights.
You were created to be filled, elevated and to view things with Godly perspective...you just need a little wind.
"Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. (Acts 2:2)
"And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness." (Acts 4:31)
"And the disciples were continually filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit." (Acts 13:52)
