A Note From
When I was a kid, we used to play a really fun outside game. It usually entailed a tree in the middle of the yard. A sort of fortress I guess you could say. Maybe you remember this game too 🙂
When you were "it", you stood by the tree and everyone else had to run to another location and some hid.
It was your goal to find them and tag them BEFORE they could run back to the very tree you were supposed to be guarding.
When I was the one hiding, I can remember looking at that place of safety from the distance. There that tree stood in the middle of the yard. Safety! If I could just touch that tree. If I could just get to that place of rest and freedom. Oh the joy!
Most of the time I got to that old tree. However, there were times of course that I didn't. There would be another day, a new game and another chance.
"The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe."
