Our Core Values

Atmosphere: We RECEIVE God’s presence. An atmosphere that protects, sustains, provides warmth, and absorbs harm.

Simplicity:
We REFUSE to make church complicated.

Lifestyle:
We REPRESENT Jesus. We reveal that we belong to him by what we do and what we say.

What We Believe

In essential beliefs, we have unity.

“There is one Body and one Spirit...there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all…” Ephesians 4:4-6

In nonessential beliefs, we have liberty.

“Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters… Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls… So then each of us will give an account of himself to God… So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God.” Romans 14:1,4,12,22

In all our beliefs, we show love.

“...If I hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but also the very secrets of God, and if I have the faith that can move mountains - but have no love, I amount to nothing at all.” 1 Corinthians 13:2

Our four essential beliefs:

These are the core beliefs where we have no flexibility: no “open-mindedness.” These beliefs are central to the Christian faith.

The Bible is the word of God

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right.” 2 Timothy 3:16
God’s Word is the only completely reliable and truthful authority, and we accept the Bible as our manual for living. Our first question when faced with a decision is,
 “What does the Bible say?”

Jesus is the son of God

“Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' ” John 14:6
Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute. He rose from the dead and is the only connection between us and God. When we die, we go to spend eternity with Him in heaven.

Salvation is by grace through faith

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”‭‭ Ephesians‬ ‭2:8-9‬
Salvation is offered freely to all who will accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Salvation is a work of God's grace, whereby sinners become forgiven children of God by repentance of sins, trusting, and following Jesus.

Baptism is our first step of obedience

Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’" Acts 2:38
We believe Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water. This symbolizes a believer's faith in the risen Savior as well as the believer's death to sin. We believe baptism should follow a person's commitment to trust and follow Jesus.

Believers can be Spirit filled and Spirit led

“Again Jesus said, ‘Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.’ And with that he breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’” John 20:21-22
We believe the only way possible to live the Christian life is by God’s power within us. Every believer can be filled with the Holy Spirit by simply asking. We seek to practice a daily dependence on God’s Spirit to enable us to do what is right.
